Mars and Marley

Mariana (Mars) Garza is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Alcove, with a specific focus on Sales, GTM, & Ops. Mars got the inspiration to work in climate tech from both her professional and personal life – having seen the climate crisis affect her friends and family abroad and in the US as well as having worked with best-in-class climate companies at XYZ Venture Capital with Ross Fubini and Chauncey Hamilton, starting Alcove with Marley was the most natural next step for Mars to combine two prominent life experiences. Marley Rafson is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Alcove, with a specific focus on Eng & Product. I’m an engineer by trade, I started my career at Google then at an Alphabet spinout. For me it’s always been about making the biggest positive impact on the world around me, so in 2020 I got the unique opportunity to serve Speaker Pelosi as a tech and climate policy fellow, working on critical climate and science legislation, including working on the Inflation Reduction Act from its inception. From there, I knew I had to get back to building, and as Mars said, once we met I knew the rest was history.
